So as to implement in the most objective way the 3rd package of progress reports for ENP, a consultation is organized to invite concerned people to provide
information.
The
European Commission services are now beginning preparations for the third package of progress reports on the implementation of the ENP in 2008, that will be adopted in spring 2009. This package will be addressed to the Council and the European Parliament and presented to the ENP
partners concerned. It will also be made available to the public at large.
In
order to ensure a maximum of transparency and objectivity in the reports, the Commission
services draw on the widest possible array of sources. In this context, it has invited all interested parties, including non-governmental organisations and other interested organizations active in the fields covered by the Action Plans, to provide
information, reports or assessments, in accordance with predefined regulations that can be found in the invitation it has issued.
The package will cover all ENP partner countries with which an Action Plan (http://ec.europa.eu/world/enp/documents_en.htm#2) is agreed, namely: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Moldova, Morocco, the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Tunisia and Ukraine.
A similar consultation with contributions from civil society in their specific
areas of expertise was carried out for the 2007 ENP reports.
