How to influence the community rules?
Near two-thirds of national law now originates from the European community. No daily domain escapes European regulation. It is therefore very important at a time where many decisions are taken in Brussels to be present on the European scene and to get your voice heard. The aim of your organisation is not to lobby but your organisation can at one time or another be considering this option to influence the political direction of the Commission. In lobbying you can attract the attention of institutional actors on an issue in order for that issue to be taken into account at European level, modify a rule, make sure that your organisations interests are well represented, etc.
