Global Conference on Preventive Action

The conference will determine new breakthrough measures to assist states, regional organisations, and international organisations to achieve their stated policy goal of moving to more effective preventive action. The overarching objectives of the conference are: * To renew interest in preventive action aspects of the conflict prevention agenda and to help establish preventive action as a policy priority; * To advance recommendations on how policymakers can better mobilise resources for more effective preventive action; * To determine a breakthrough set of measures (Action Plan) to that end. In order to deliver on its objectives in a concrete and practical way, the conference will address the following crosscutting issues: * How to generate effective advocacy that increases political will and advances the preventive action agenda * How to mobilise human and financial resources in a more effective and coordinated manner
