The European Commission is holding an information day "The Ocean of Tomorrow" September 9, 2010, in Brussels, on the call for proposals' "FP7-2011-OCEAN" common themes: Environment, Energy, Transport and Food & Agriculture Fishing, Biotechnology. Maive Rute, Director, DG Research, Innovation and Science, Directorate E - Biotechnologies, Agriculture, Food, will present "The Ocean of Tomorrow 2011: rationale, context Bio-Economy Challenges in the Context of the call The Brokerage event that will close the day will allow participants to submit innovative ideas to build potential collaborations around 4 Topics: * Multi-use off-shore platforms * Marine microbial diversity * Assessing and Predicting the combined effects of natural and human-made Pressures in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea in View of Their Better Governance * Knowledge-based and tools for regional networks of marine protected areas ", integrated management of activities together with assessment of wind energy potential in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
