AbstractThe EESC Prize for organised civil society, which is awarded annually, aimes to reward and encourage concrete initiatives and achievements of civil society organisations that have significantly contributed to promoting European identity and integration.

This Prize was launched in 2006 by the European Economic and Social Committee to encourage civil society participation to European integration. The theme is to be set each year by the EESC's President.

15 May 2009EESC Prize 2009 for organised civil society
The Economic and Social Committee announced the extension of the deadline for applications to the EESC Prize. The eligible bodies will have the opportunity until the 15 June 2009 to propose their initiatives which make a significant contribution to the promotion of European identity and integration.
