European susidies health
The European Commission is preparing a new strategy for health, which should be adopted in summer 2007. Inspired by the current work, the strategy aims to provide - and that's a first - a single strategic framework that encompasses not only the major health issues, but also the inclusion of health in policy and general issues health. The strategy aims to set clear objectives to guide the work to be undertaken at European level and to establish mechanisms for implementation to achieve these objectives by working in partnership with Member States.
The financing of projects by the Commission on Health for 2007-2013, is part of a strategy bringing together the wide range of community activities in health to define the objectives and priorities for improving the health of European citizens.
