Abstract
MAIN OBJECTIVES:
The Promotion of career education and awareness in European schools through a Network of Schools across Europe and via CareerGUIDE Web Portal.
Development of the cooperation network. The main aim of the specific activity is to provide the organization of the network. Determination of the structure of the network, grouping of participants in thematic working groups and investigation of the axes of cooperation with other COMENIUS networks are the main activities included in the development of the cooperation network.
- Design & development of the CareerGuide for schools web portal. The network’s effectiveness depends on the systematic cooperation and communication of its members. The web portal is the main ICT product of the network’s effort that will support
the network’s functioning. The main activities are: design of the web portal, development of the portal’s sections, integration of the portal’s sections and portal’s improvement and
maintenance
- Working group’s research activities. The link between theory and practice will be achieved through the research activities of the working groups. The major activities that will be performed are: the organization of the working groups and the schools connected with the network in each participating country, the determination of the research activities of the working groups, the implementation of scheduled meetings of the thematic working groups, the implementation of annual CareerGuide for Schools workshops where members of all the working groups meet, share and spread research evidence, and the conduction of the research and the development of the Report on Effective
Career Guidance in schools
- Dissemination activities. The main activities of the dissemination are the development of concrete and specific dissemination plan, the development of the website, the
presentations to conferences, Press Releases, the production and distribution of promotional material and products of the network (CD-ROM, leaflets and posters), provision of access to CareerGuide for Schools Web Portal to the wider educational community, organization of CareerGuide for Schools Conference and the distribution of the “Report on Effective Career Guidance” to policy makers.
