Abstract
The University of Bourgogne has over 2 100 staff for over 25 000 students, who are able to choose from more than 200 courses provided in a wide variety of fields. The institution focuses on initial and continuous training, thus fully integrating the concept of lifelong learning. Other cornerstones of its strategy are international cooperation, scientific research, and the aim to ensure optimum exploitation
of research results and more generally to promote a culture of learning about science and research.
