Objectives:
- bringing together civil society actors in the pursuit of common agendas for human rights and democratic reform
- building consensus on disputed or controversial areas of policy by means of civil society dialogue
- enhancing political representation and participation including the empowerment of women and other underrepresented groups
Among financed actions:
- building coalitions of civil society actors across different regions, communities and identity groups, including independent political platforms or foundations to mobilise broad support and influence policy
- contributing to peaceful conciliation of group interests by bringing together a wide range of stakeholders to share experience and analyse common problems
- developing equal participation of men and women and empowering vulnerable groups in social
- promoting responsiveness and accountability of political leaders and institutions |
