Imooty, a new look at European News
Mr. Blaise Bourgeois, Co-creator of Imooty website
1. Can you describe your website\'s spirit?
Imooty.eu is a platform dedicated to all European news. Users can read news from the main European newspapers, search and set up their pan-European press review.
A new version offering an important number of sources, such as news of universities, newspapers, businesses, blogs and the major European institutions, will be published in June. New functions dedicated to the use of press monitoring like an early warning system and a news circulation service in the form of an aggregated Widget will be available. All Imooty’s functions will also be available on mobile phones.
Imooty offers to micro and small businesses a cheap service for monitoring European news with a simple and easy access.
2.How was born the idea to create such a European news website?
Imooty.eu responds to a specific need: to follow simultaneously national news of several European countries in their languages and in direct access. How can a French man access German news while he is partially ignoring the German media configuration? How can I follow the news of my native country while reading newspapers in a foreign country? More specifically, how is it possible to compare the treatment of the same information in different countries? While the first version of Imooty aims to be a solution to these problems, the new version could be useful as an information monitoring tool suited to economic and/or marketing analysis: Which sources are writing about Mercedes in France? How is Pepsi represented in the Italian press? etc...
3. Do you regularly publish news on funding programs on your site?
At the moment, we don\'t publish any news regarding European funding opportunities
4. As part of its monitoring activity regarding European funding opportunities, Welcomeurope publishes every day useful information for project leaders (news, agenda, calls for proposals, programmes update). What is your opinion about this assistance service? b>
I think that it is a real plus for every entrepreneur in Europe. In the case of the Imooty project, the European Union has supported us through grant programmes managed at a national level. We give heed to EU news and are still willing to improve our network. Welcomeurope makes that much easier.
