The observatory African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) on Migration, was created by the European Commission and the African, Caribbean and Pacific. It will be officially launched October 25 in Brussels attended by Mr Andris Piebalgs, Commissioner for Development. The new body will cover the six ACP regions and will be introduced in twelve pilot countries: Angola, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Kenya, Lesotho, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Senegal, Tanzania, Timor-Leste and Trinidad and Tobago. It aims to provide data and information on migration flows in the ACP States to enhance the contribution of migration to development.
