€5.1 million from European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for France
According to Marianne Thyssen, Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility, the crisis has badly affected the road haulage sector and it is important to support lorry drivers in their efforts to find a new jobs. That's why the European Commission has proposed €5.1 million from EGF to help 2,132 former workers of MoryGlobal SAS in France. The aim is to help the workers to find new jobs by co-financing a "Dispositif d'Accompagnement Renforcé".
This proposal will go to the European Parliament and the EU's Council of Ministers for approval.
