Establishment of a forum of experts for the resolution of cross-border problems

Employment, Local development, Health, Co-op & Development,-,

News The European Commission has just announced the creation of a border contact point to help regions to better manage employment and investment issues in border regions of the EU.

In line with the call made by President Juncker in his speech on the state of the Union 2017 in favor of equity in the single market, the border contact point will help border regions to cooperate better on the basis of a series of concrete actions.

It will contribute to facilitate access to employment, to improve services such as health care and public transport systems and to facilitate cross-border business activities.

The border contact point, which is expected to be operational from January 2018, will stimulate through its observations the debate on the next generation of cross-border (interreg) cooperation programs.
