EUREKA and the EU–Russia Innovation Forum

The 1st EU-Russia Innovation Forum will take place in Lappeeenranta, Finland on the 25-27th of May where an exchange of visibility has been agreed. EUREKA will be one of the partners of the event.With the strong support of the Prime Minister of Finland and key innovation policy makers and stakeholders, the Forum will be the first high-level innovation event between the EU and Russia. The EUREKA Russia Office will also be present.

The purpose of the event is to present and discuss opportunities for strengthening EU–Russia cooperation in the area of innovation focusing on four specific themes:
- Modernizing industries
- Commercializing Russian innovations
- Promoting energy efficiency
- EU–Russia innovation collaboration roadmaps for the period 2010–2013

During the Forum there will be an innovation exhibition showcasing Russian innovations.
