Eurocities will be rallied on clusters to get European funds
The executive committee of Eurocités confirmed its intervention line on topics that can modify cities' future and make Europen move on.ARTICLE AVAILABLE ONLY IN FRENCH
Après avoir abordé les "joints procurement", les appels d'offre conjoints destinés à constituer une demande élargie pour favoriser notamment le développement des véhicules propres par les entreprises, Eurocités souhaite mettre en place des partenariats entre les collectivités sur le thème des "clusters" qui regroupent les acteurs (entreprises, collectivités, enseignement/recherche) d'un secteur économique. Beaucoup de villes ont lancé des clusters, mais il est nécessaire aujourd'hui qu'elles se regroupent sur des secteurs qu'elles partagent en Europe pour faire le poids au niveau mondial.
Le comité exécutif des Eurocités a ainsi étudié les conditions du renforcement des clusters existants, notamment en collaboration avec les acteurs financiers.
La Commission européenne, dont un représentant a participé aux travaux d'Eurocités, apparaît comme un partenaire privilégié. Un programme cadre européen prévoit de consacrer aux clusters quatre milliards d'euros sur la période 2007-2013, des fonds auxquels Eurocités entend accéder en mobilisant les villes et leurs clusters.
