European Commission: a new DG for Home Affairs in charge of the Funding programmes to fight crime and terrorism

DG Justice, Freedom and Security (DG JLS) has published last December 2 work programmes for 2010 concerning 2 new specific programmes ISEC and CIPS.DG Justice, Freedom and Security (DG JLS) will be divided into
DG "Justice Fundamental Rights and Citizenship" and a DG "Home Affairs".
DG Home affairs has published last December 2 work programmes for 2010 concerning 2 new specific programmes ISEC and CIPS.

Within the Specific Programme for Prevention, Preparedness and Consequence Management of Terrorism and other Security-related risks (CIPS), a new call for proposals (CIPS 2010 I) under the 2010 Annual Work Programme is expected to be published by end January 2010 with the indicative deadline of end March 2010.

The ISEC call should be publidhed end of February 2010.

The European Commission has adopted the 2010 Annual Work Programme for the specific programme "Prevention, Preparedness and Consequence Management of Terrorism and other Security-related risks".
