Green Week 2003: an unequalled opportunity for networking and forging partnerships.

This third edition of Green Week will take place between 2 and 5 June 2003. The choice of this date is not a coincidence. We wanted to organise it to coincide with the United Nations World Environment Day (5 June 2003), so as to give this day the attention it deserves and to highlight a range of European environmental policies and initiatives. With around 4,000 participants, Green Week 2003 represents an unequalled opportunity for networking and forging partnerships. It is also a unique opportunity for the media to focus on environmental issues that are of fundamental interest to their readers. In addition to press conferences involving the Environment Commissioner Margot Wallström and special topical briefings for journalists, the media will have the chance to interview senior European Commission officials and international environmental specialists. We will also do our outmost to help you to identify good stories and to set up interviews before, during and after Green Week.

The themes for Green Week 2003 are sustainable production and consumption, renewable energy & climate change and water.
