Moving to a reshaping for the Juncker Plan

Industry, Innovation, Economy - Finances, SME Policy, Trade,-,

News As negotiations on its future are beginning to stabilize, a number of new developments are emerging to reform the Juncker Plan.

First of all, and contrary to what has been the case so far, it should be possible to finance projects of less than 3 million euro. The action of the European Fund for Strategic Investments should also be complemented by new areas of intervention, such as agriculture or the social and solidarity economy.

At the level of beneficiaries, the most fragile regions should be prioritized, thanks to an increase in the budget from 16 to 26 billion euros. The modification of project selection criteria should also allow for a better coverage of investments in the territory. It is hoped that the EFSI will act in greater harmony with the Structural Funds.
