Impact of Enlargement in EU Border Regions
The European Parliament has called for support to a number of regions bordering acceding and candidate countries with an amount of €4 million. Growth and employment are the aim of EU policies over the coming years and this new preparatory action focus in 2005 on one key aspect, namely the investment in human capital through better education and skills. The programme addresses notably the social partnerorganisations in the border regions of Greece - Bulgaria and Turkey; Hungary - Romania and Croatia; Italy – Croatia; Slovenia – Croatia.
