The Commission also announced the support of 13 PhDs and 14 post-doctoral research training programmes of outstanding quality from ten Member States and two associated countries. These programmes will receive a total of up to 90 million euro over the next five years through co-financing of regional, national and international programmes. These research programmes, which mobilise more than 1,000 excellent researchers, will focus on global challenges such as climate change, as well as on the competitiveness of different EU regions and Member States by attracting and retaining talented researchers.
