The cohesion fund is the financial instrument of cohesion policy 2014-2020 to reduce economic and social disparities within the European Union.

Text:

The European Commission has approved a major project, worth 39,2 million euro from the Cohesion Fund, to improve the railway connection between Budapest and Békéscsaba, in southeast Hungary, along the Rhine-Danube corridor of the Trans-European Transport Network.
