Objective
* To assist the European rail sector in sharing knowledge and best practices on safety culture to support new approaches to safety management

Priorities
* Shared understanding of what are the possible opportunities, benefits and blockers to a more mature and just safety culture;
* To prepare grounds for implementation for occurrence reporting

Among financed actions
* Development of safety awareness/culture/commitment within organisations;
* Exchanges on technical and behavioural failures related to safety management;
* Sharing operational definition of safety concepts;
* Transposition of successful stories in different organisations and national frameworks;
* Identification of benefits of safety management and reporting;
* Cross-border integration of safety processes used in different countries;
* Peer review exercises

Additional information
* This call for proposals is an open call for proposals

* Initial duration of the action: up to 36 months

* Eligibility:
– Be established in one or more Member State of the EU;
– Be an international organisation, joint undertaking or public or private undertaking or body or entity;
– Third Countries and entities established in third countries may participate in actions contributing to projects of common interest where necessary in order to achieve the objectives of a given project of common interest

– In order to be eligible, a proposal must be submitted by a consortium composed of at least 12 legal entities of the ones listed below (NIBs, BSA, infrastructure managers and RU);
– The Consortium must include each of the following stakeholder groups: National investigation bodies (NIB), National safety Authority (NSA), Infrastructure manager, Rail Undertakings (and any other public or private undertaking, the activity of which is to provide transport of goods and/or passengers by rail on the basis that the undertaking is to ensure traction; this also includes undertakings which provide traction only)
– By way of exception, an application may be submitted by one applicant
