Funds for: reinforcing the audiovisual sector’s capacity to operate transnationally

Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To facilitate access to professional audiovisual trade events and markets and the use of online business tools inside and outside Europe;
* To facilitate the circulation of European works, including shorts, in Europe and worldwide on all platforms in all formats

Priorities
* Increasing the capacity of audiovisual operators to develop European audiovisual works with a potential to circulate in Europe and beyond; 
* Facilitating European and international co-productions including those with television broadcasters;
* Encouraging business-to-business exchanges by facilitating access to markets and innovative business tools enabling audiovisual operators to increase the visibility of their projects on European and international markets;
* Improving the European/international dimension and effectiveness of existing large industrial markets;
* Increasing the visibility of professionals and A/V works from European countries with a low production capacity;
* Enhancing cultural diversity;
* Encouraging the development of networks and increasing the number of European co-productions;
* Diversifying the talents and sources of funding;

Among financed actions
* Action 1: Business to business (physical) markets for European audiovisual professionals
– co-production and financing initiatives and events and/or trade event and markets for finished works
* Action 2: Business to business promotional activities of European works
– The implementation of business-to-business promotional activities organized by pan European networks or organizations representing at least 15 MEDIA countries;
– The setting up and launch of business-to-business promotional initiatives and platforms

* This call for proposals is an open call for proposals

* Initial duration of the action: up to 12 months

* Eligibility :
– Be a non-profit or profit-making entity, a public authority, an international organization, a university, a research center, an educational institution, a private entity;
– Be established in an EU Member State, a candidate country, an EFTA country which is a member of the EEA, Switzerland, or in a country covered by the European Neighbourhood Policy

– Actions must take place in and outside countries participating in the MEDIA Sub-programme
