Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* Support civil society organisations (CSOs) in the context of development policy;
* Promotion of living together through artistic production (itinerant theatre, stories, films, songs, poems…);
* Information, awareness-raising and advocacy for the respect of women’s rights and their integration into all public policies;
* Support for youth initiatives, particularly citizen movements, bloggers, social networks, young entrepreneurs

Priorities
* Integrate an approach involving local authorities or include elements of complementarity/synergy with one or more state structures;
* Contribute to developing the capacity of civil society at national and local levels to build and maintain networks; to foster their capacities for monitoring and control but also for dialogue and advocacy with public authorities;
* Clearly demonstrate a transfer of skills to grassroots organisations;
* Promote and develop entrepreneurship, especially for women and youth

Among the actions financed
* Generation and dissemination of knowledge/information related to living together, peaceful coexistence including through cultural activities as a vehicle for expression and change;
* Development of social communication and public awareness plans with various appropriate media (theatre, discussion forums, music, radio/TV commercials, social media, etc.);
* Support for social media platforms to activate local channels to promote living together, fight violent extremism;
* Accompaniment of civil society in the promotion of living together, in democratic deepening, in improving the effectiveness of public policies that respect the rights of women and young people;
* Activities aimed at promoting and facilitating interaction between the public, CSOs and authorities, by strengthening the capacities of women’s CSOs in the analysis and participation of women in the development and implementation of public policies;
* Activities to improve girls’ and women’s access to school, and advocacy for the abandonment of early/forced marriage and rape;
* Support for women’s organisations fighting against serious human rights violations such as torture, homicides against women in certain localities;
* Activities to improve the capacity of citizen/civilian movements to structure themselves;
* Activities to strengthen the capacity of citizen movements to support the work of grassroots citizen organisations and make proposals to local authorities;
* Promotion of entrepreneurship, especially of women and youth, in sectors with a high labour force and with positive impacts on sustainable development objectives

Additional information
* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 30 months

* Eligibility:
– Be a legal person;
– Not to have any profit-making purpose;
– Be: non-governmental organization, public sector operator, local authority, international (intergovernmental) organization;
– Be established in Chad or in a Member State of the European Union or the EEA

– The lead applicant may act either individually or with one or more co-applicants

– The actions must be implemented in the Republic of Chad
