The global objective of this call for proposals is to improve health and nutrition status of the urban poor in Bangladesh through sustainable integrated and comprehensive services provided and managed in coordinated national urban health delivery system.

Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
– To improve and increase sustainable, integrated and comprehensive primary health care services delivery including nutrition for the urban poor in Bangladesh

Priorities
– To increase coverage of primary health care and nutrition service delivery in urban areas;
– To improve comprehensiveness of primary health care and nutrition service delivery in urban areas;
– To improve access to primary health care and nutrition service for the poorest in urban areas;
– To improve sustainability of primary health care and nutrition service delivery in urban areas

Among financed actions
– Setting up a free basic benefit package of services to be financed under the scheme;
– Establishing processes for empanelment (criteria based on quality parameters of) services;
– Establishing the list of selected facilities (private hospitals/clinics) and contracting (empanelment of facilities) the service providers based on the basic service package, prices and standard case basis
