Funds for: Development of land and sustainable agriculture practices in Palestine
Main beneficiaries: local farmers and authorities, NGO

Priorities and funded actions:

* Promote social and economic development through improving resilience and tenure security of Palestinian communities and enhancing public and private sectors’ capacities;
* Support agriculture growth and profitability by a provision of adequate sustainable means for better access to and utilisation of land and water. These means should focus on well-adapted agriculture practices and on the introduction of rational water management for sustainable livelihoods of vulnerable populations

* Reclamation of sub-utilized agricultural lands;
* Increase availability and improvement in the use of water for agricultural purposes;
* Capacity development for farmers’ associations/cooperatives, strengthening their management and advocacy skills, including women’s empowerment initiatives, improving agriculture practices, in particular the development and adoption of adequate soil and water management plans, and the intermediation between individual farmers and extension and veterinary services and to support the MoA’s legal affairs department, institutionalizing the legal support function within the Ministry services 

Among financed actions 
* Associations and/or cooperatives improving agricultural competitiveness (including livestock in aspects like animal feed, health and commercialization) and resilience;
* Mechanisms addressing water scarcity with a comprehensive approach, including cost-effective criteria for increasing availability, community water management, and promotion of sustainable agriculture practices (comprising soil conservation measures and protection of biodiversity);
* Facilitate access to land and movements, strengthening current coping mechanisms and promoting pragmatic approaches to mitigate natural/political challenges/obstacles along the value chains
