Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives

* Promote sustainable and inclusive development by strengthening the means of implementation and revitalising the global partnership for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
* Increase the overall capacity of beneficiary countries to design and implement SDG related policies, regulations and activities

Priorities

* Improve the technical capacity of Asian partners in designing and implementing SDG-related policies and regulation, through the mobilisation of public sector expertise;
* Engage in dialogue with Asian partners on SDG implementation;
* Strengthen and support Triangular Cooperation in Asia

Among financed actions

* Proposals must address the two following categories of actions:

– Specific actions benefitting Asian partner country public administrations or regional organisations, such as:
> Twinning-like activities on technical or policy level SDG-related areas;
> Exchanges of experience, best practices and lessons learned;
> Organisation of conferences, seminars, workshops, meetings, etc. These specific actions will form the focus of the facility

– Horizontal actions such as:
> Programming, meetings between consortium partners;
> Coordination, organisation of the Coordination Committee and the Steering Committee meetings, meetings with partners, such as EU Member States, Asian partner country institutions, international organisations;
> Visibility actions of the programme, including production and dissemination of information on the Programme, maintenance of the website, production of brochures, media;
> Monitoring and evaluation of the facility

Additional information

* This is an open call for proposals

* Initial duration of the project: between 48 and 60 months

* Eligibility:

– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be established in a Member State of the EU;
– Be a public sector institution of an EU Member State or a private sector entity registered in an EU Member State yet include an EU Member State public sector institution as co-applicant
 
– Applicants must address all of the three above mentioned priorities;
– There must be a minimum of two co-applicants in this action;
– Actions must take place in Asia (comprising East Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia) and the EU
