The overall objective of this call for proposals is to build and strengthen the capacities of civil society in Central America to better respond to the immigration crisis with the intention of creating, restoring and consolidating modes, tools and management mechanisms at local, national and regional levels.
Priorities and funded actions:
– To improve the prevention and protection of victims of trafficking and smuggling of migrants in Central America, in particular youth and women victims of violence and forced migration.
– Prevention targeted at the most vulnerable groups (youth and women in particular), groups in communities and territories affected by violence and forced migration, mainly through mitigation of key risk factors and prevention of recruitment violent groups;
– Development and improvement of victim protection and care tools and mechanisms to promote respect for their human rights, in order to improve their reintegration or security in the case of migrants in transit.
