Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* Enable Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) to engage as actors of governance and development at country level;
* Enhance the capacity of civil society and local authorities through networking and innovation

Priorities
* Increase the capacity of civil society organisations to perform their role as independent development actors more effectively and to enhance efforts to promote a conducive environment for CSOs; 
* Increase the efficiency, responsiveness, transparency and accountability of Local Authorities in the provision of essential services in an equitable way;
* Promote a meaningful and structured participation of CSOs in domestic policies of the country;
* Increase the representation of- and to support the meaningful and structured participation of women, girls and women’s CSOs to local governance processes that lead to the delivery of improved and equitable services

Among financed actions
* Promoting the involvement of local stakeholders in climate action (“think global, act local”), including in the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy;
* Enabling the transition to a climate-resilient, low-emissions, circular economy through i.a. resource efficiency and sustainable consumption and production, including the sustainable management of chemicals and waste;
* Activities to further strengthen existing civil society platforms, networks and coalitions;
* Awareness raising to encourage public discussion and dialogue between local authorities, citizens and civil society;
* Actions related to e-democracy practices;
* Promoting women and girls’ role as agents of development and change;
* Increasing targeted action towards gender equality;
* Protect young people including vulnerable adolescents, from abuse, sexual, labour and other forms of exploitation, and hazardous and indecent working conditions;
* Supporting good governance, including through strengthened local governance, conflict prevention and participatory and inclusive approaches

* This is an open call for proposals

* Initial duration of the project: between 24 and 36 months

* Eligibility
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be a civil society organisation;
– Be established in teh Republic of Uzbekistan or in an EU Member State or in other countries eligible under the DCI Regulation
