Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* Improve the standard of living and respect for the rights of young people through a greater impact on public policies aimed at them;
* Strengthen the knowledge, exercise and respect of the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR) of young people;
* Contribute to ensuring that public policies at the local and/or national level effectively integrate and respond to the needs of young people

Priorities
* Priority 1:
– Employment sector: support the participation of young people in the definition, implementation and monitoring of employment policies, in compliance with their economic, social and cultural rights and the Youth Law, from the local and/or national level
* Priority 2:
– Environment and climate change sector: support the participation of young people in the definition, execution and monitoring of public policies related to the environment and climate change, from the local and/or national level
* Priority 3:
– Social sector: support the participation of young people in the definition, execution and monitoring of public policies related to sexual and reproductive health, tolerance and diversity, supply and demand of drugs, and violence and security, from the local and/or national level

Among financed actions
* Employment sector:
– Mapping of public-private actors linked to the employability of young people;
– Training/information events for young people and their organisations on employment policies and the exercise of their rights;
– Information and awareness-raising actions for authorities and public and private officials regarding the economic rights of young people;
– Preparation of communicational materials and development of awareness campaigns in relation to the exercise of labour rights of young people;
– Coordination with local authorities for the development of training activities within the framework of the Mi Primer Empleo Digno (My First Decent Employment) programme

* Environment and climate change sector:
– Forums, events, to make young people aware of the mandates of the Paris agreement in relation to Nationally Determined Climate Change Contributions;
– Dissemination and reflection spaces for young people about the characteristics of Bolivia’s Nationally Determined Contribution, its Results and its integral approach;
– Support for the strengthening or creation of youth organizations that carry out monitoring and accompaniment actions;
– Actions of information and sensitisation of authorities and public and private officials regarding the role of young people in public policy and the issue of environment and climate change

* Social sector
– Constitution of a database of youth organizations and student governments at the national level;
– Register of intergenerational legislative initiatives proposed and presented to the corresponding instances;
– Preparation of communication materials and development of awareness-raising campaigns on the exercise of young people’s rights in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, tolerance and diversity, supply and demand of drugs, and violence and security;
– Information and awareness-raising actions for public and private authorities and officials regarding the social rights of young people

Additional information
* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 48 months

* Eligibility:
– Be a legal entity;
– Be a civil society organization or thematic network of CSOs working on the issue to which the proposal is being submitted;
> In the case of existing networks without legal personality, the proposal must be submitted by one of the members of the network, who must necessarily have legal personality and legal representation to act on behalf of the other members. In addition, the proposal must include a list of the members of the network;
> In the case of networks in the process of creation, the proposal may be submitted by one of the members of the network, who must necessarily have legal personality and the capacity to represent the future members of the network;
– Non-profit-making;

– Be established in Bolivia

– Actions must take place in Bolivia
