Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To enable Burundian CSOs to be effective and recognized partners in local governance;
* To enable CSOs to actively participate in the planning, implementation and monitoring of local development

Priorities
* Capacity building of CSOs and their structuring;
* CSO participation in development and local governance;
* Consolidation of achievements and strengthening of synergies and complementarities with local development actions financed by the EU, its Member States and Switzerland and more generally by the technical and financial partners (TFP)

Among the actions financed
* Training in several areas;
* Support for CSO activities;
* Facilitation/facilitation of meetings between CSOs and local actors;
* Implementation and monitoring of PCDC;
* Economic support to CSOs for the implementation of development priorities identified in the Community development planning (CDP)

Additional information
* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. First, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the action: minimum 36 months

* Eligibility:
– Be a legal person;
– Not to have any profit-making purpose;
– Belong to one of the following categories of organizations: international non-governmental organization (INGO), an accredited Burundian CSO with proven experience in local development processes;
– Be established in Burundi
– The lead applicant must act with one or more co-applicants in accordance with the following requirements;
– To participate in the call for proposals, INGOs must be in partnership with at least one Burundian CSO

– Actions must be take place in the communes of Burundi where projects are underway to support the preparation and implementation of the PCDC
