Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To promote actions that will advance efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labour in Ghana;
* To promote specific actions that will eliminate the practice of child labour in fishing as a result of human trafficking;
* To strengthen the capacity of law enforcement agencies to adequately protect children from the worst forms of child labour in the fishing industry

Priorities
* Concerted actions by civil society organisations and human rights defenders for the effective enforcement of child labour laws by relevant ministries and government agencies in the fishing sector in Ghana;
* The identification and advocacy for other social intervention programmes as complementary actions to existing laws for the elimination of child labour in Ghana

Among financed actions
* Awareness-raising and communication campaigns to inform communities and the general public on the dangers of child labour, the worst forms of child labour and child trafficking;
* Documenting and reporting on cases of child labour, the worst forms of child labour and child trafficking;
* Support the collection of appropriate information, including statistical and research data to enable government formulate and implement policies to eliminate child labour and child trafficking;
* Promote access to justice for victims, accountability and prosecution of perpetrators;
* Promote inclusive and strategic partnerships, networking and cooperation with CSOs and other relevant stakeholders for the elimination of child labour and child trafficking;
* Support the identification of relevant social intervention programmes and policies that will complement the effort to eliminate child labour and trafficking

Additional information 
* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the action: between 24 and 36 months

* Eligibility :
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be a Civil Society Organisation;
– Be established in Ghana or any other country;
– Must have a proven track record of at least three years of promoting Human Rights in Ghana

– The lead applicant must act with co-applicant(s);
– The Co-applicant must be registered in Ghana if the lead applicant is not from Ghana

– Actions must take place in Ghana
