Objectives
* Contribute to the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Bosnia and Herzegovina in line with the international and domestic standards

Priorities
* Support civil society and human rights defenders in Bosnia and Herzegovina in working on human rights (political, civil, economic, social and cultural), and democratisation

Among financed actions
* Support, protection and defence of human rights defenders and democracy activists;
* Support gender equality (women’s rights, women in decision-making, right to participate in peace-building and reconstruction processes, fight against violence and harmful practices, etc.);
* Support the rights of persons belonging to minorities, Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) people and other vulnerable groups;
* Support to civil society organisations’ actions and campaigns against the death penalty, against torture and other cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment or punishment;
* Support research and monitoring of social media for illegal hate speech, disinformation, and restrictions of freedom of speech;
* Develop online alternatives and counter-narratives to hate speech and restrictions of freedom of speech, and enhance transparency on how manifestations of hate speech and other forms of intolerance are addressed online;
* Support for protection of the social, economic and cultural rights, especially for groups particularly vulnerable to discrimination, such as the poor, women, children, migrants, refugees and the rights of persons belonging to minorities (especially Roma) 
* Organise conferences, roundtables, workshops and seminars;
* Promote the implementation of the adopted laws and regulations;
* Advocacy for the revision of the existing legislation and adoption of the new ones in accordance with the EU standards and requirements;
* Establish dialogue with “political society” (e.g. with political parties, groups of parliamentarians or legislative bodies);
* Drafting of policy or legislation recommendations;
* Public awareness-raising campaigns to inform on specific democracy/human rights issues;  

Additional information
* This is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the project: between 18 and 24 months

* Eligibility
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making; 
– Be a specific type of organisation such as: civil society organisations, public-sector non-profit agencies, institutions and organisations (including in particular National Human Rights Institutions), international inter-governmental organisation and national parliamentary bodies;
– Be established in Bosnia and Herzegovina or a Member State of the European Union, or any country;
– If the applicant is a national of a  country other than Bosnia and Herzegovina, it must have at least one co-applicant established in Bosnia and Herzegovina whose local capacity development must be strengthened through some proposed activities
