Objectives
* To support and strengthen civil society organisations, democracy activists and Human Rights defenders working on critical Human Rights and democracy issues in Trinidad and Tobago

Priorities
* Support to civil society in furthering EU Human Rights priorities in Trinidad and Tobago
* Lot 1: Gender Based Violence
* Lot 2: Prisoner Rights/ Reform

Among financed actions
* Lot 1:
– Activities pertaining to protection, support and care of GBV survivors;
– Public awareness campaigns in mass media to influence public opinion (videos, documentaries, developing apps, television clippings, publishing research findings);
– Activities to support re-education of perpetrators of gender-based violence;
– Review laws which further marginalize and discriminate against victims of GBV;
– Resources for addressing GBV
* Lot 2:
– Resources for addressing prisoner Rights/prison reform;
– Activities pertaining to protection, support and care of prisoners and ex – offenders;
– Rehabilitative programmes

Additionnal information 
* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the action: between 24 months and 36 months

* Eligibility:
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, public sector operator, local authority, international (inter-governmental) organisation as defined by Article 43 of the rules of application of the EU Financial Regulation;
– Be established in a Member State of the European Union or in any country without limitation as per Article 11.1 of the Regulation (UE) No. 236/20143
