Objectives
* Lot 1 (EIDHR): Support civil society in the protection and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Ivory Coast
* Lot 2 (DCI): Promote the role of Civil Society as a real actor in democratic development

Priorities
* Lot 1 :
– Strengthening democratic governance and improving the rights of detainees

* Lot 2 :
– Strengthening the voice of young people and their social inclusion;
– Promote an increased role for CSOs as an instrument for promoting peace and democratic dialogue;
– Increase CSO participation in monitoring the implementation of the Interim Economic Partnership Agreement (iEPA), particularly in the area of growth and job creation through the promotion of trade, investment and innovation

Among the actions financed
* Lot 1 :
– Actions to strengthen democratic culture, preserve harmony by preparing and supporting future electoral processes;
– Actions to improve the rights of detainees, in particular, vulnerable persons such as women and young people * Lot 2 :
– Actions contributing to increasing the voice of young people and their inclusion in society, in particular through support for traditional and social media;
– Actions to promote greater participation of CSOs in conflict prevention and in the promotion of peace and democratic dialogue;
– Actions contributing to CSO participation in the monitoring of the implementation of the Interim Economic Partnership Agreement (iEPA)

Additional information
* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial project duration: between 24 and 36 months

* Eligibility
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be: a Civil Society Organisation (CSO);
– Be legally registered in the country of origin for at least 2 years (Ivorian CSOs) or 3 years (non-Ivorian CSOs);
– Be established in a Member State of the European Union, be a member of the OECD or be established in Ivory Coast;

– The applicant must be able to prove that it has regularly carried out activities similar to those proposed for a period of more than 12 months;

– The applicant may act individually or with co-applicant(s);
– Non-Ivorian applicants must act with at least one Ivorian co-applicant;

– Actions must take place in Ivory Coast
