Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To contribute to the promotion and protection of human rights in Israel in line with international and domestic standards and obligations and to the upholding of democratic principles

Priorities
* To reinforce respect and protection of fundamental freedoms understood as freedom of thought, belief, opinion; freedom of association and of peaceful assembly; and freedom of expression, including freedom of the press and media, both online and offline, and fighting against racism and hate speech; 
* To invigorate support to human rights defenders and human rights or organizations including enhancing their capacity to protect themselves against all forms of reprisals;
* To strengthen the implementation of international human rights obligations and resisting any attempts to call into question the universal application of human rights; 
* To fight discrimination in all its forms within Israel; 
* To reinforce respect for international humanitarian law (IHL) and human rights in the territories occupied by Israel

Among financed actions
* Awareness raising activities such as training, education, seminars, conference, workshops, meeting;
* Advocacy and lobbying, legal work, capacity building (including on security environment for human rights workers);
* Elaboration of publication and of written and visual support material;
* Activities of monitoring, reporting, evaluation, coordination and outreach

Additional information
* This is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the project: between 12 and 36 months

* Eligibility
 Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be a specific organization such as civil society organization (including NGOs, Universities, etc…), public sector non-profit agencies, institutions and organizations and networks at local, national, regional, and international level;
– No nationality restriction applies to applicants and, if any, to co-applicants and affiliated entities;

– Actions must take place in Israel. Nevertheless, punctual activities may take place outside Israel if duly justified (e.g. seminar or conference, a visit to the European Institutions or the United Nations, an opening or closing of a campaign, a specific exhibition or other similar single events);

– The lead applicant may act individually or with co-applicant. Therefore, there is no obligation to act with partners
