Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To contribute to reconciliation in Liberia;
* To enhance co-existence and building resilience;
* To enhance civic engagement and responsibility

Priorities
* Initiatives aimed at trauma healing;
* Initiatives aimed at enhancing constructive civic participation and addressing political tribalism in rural areas

Among financed activities
* Advocacy, lobbying and development of strategies by civil society organisations to push for legal reform or  to influence policy-making;
* Provision of psychosocial assistance and any other type of support;
* Activities enhancing civic and social capacities;
* Activities addressing intergroup threats;
* Activities fostering forgiveness and empathy;
* Dialogue facilitation processes and mediation activities;
* Promoting the signature, ratification and the effective implementation of the relevant international and regional human rights instruments;
* Monitoring of and reporting on the implementation of the international human rights instruments that the country has ratified;

Additional information
* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the action: between 12 and 36 motnhs

* Eligibility:
– be a legal person;
– be non-profit-making;
– Be a CSO or an Association of CSOs or a public-sector non profit-agencies, institutions and organisations (including in particular National Human Rights Commission or Governance Commission);
– Be established in Liberia, or in a Member State Country, or in any other country;
– Demonstrate previous presence or experience working in Liberia 

– The lead applicant may act individually or co-applicant(s);
– If the lead applicant is a Liberia based organisation it may act individually or with co-applicant(s) of any nationality;
– if the lead applicant is not a Liberia based organisation, it must act with one or more co-applicant(s) of which at least one is Liberian 

– Action must take place in Liberia
