Amorce:

This call for proposals aims to contribute to the implementation of the local economic development plans for the Governorates of Ajloun and Tafileh, more particularly to support the development of local agriculture.

Priorities and funded actions:

This call for proposals is divided in several grants

Objectives

* Main grant
– To support the development of small-scale food processing in the following sub-sectors: olive oil and table olives, dry fruit and molasses, vinegars and pickles, jams and syrups, herbal and medicinal plants, traditional food through financial support to support community-based organisations and individual / family private initiatives (10-20 entities in each governorate) and dairy industries

* Low-value grant
– To establish or develop small-scale food production in the following areas: olive oil and table olives, dry fruits, vinegars and pickles, jams, syrups and molasses, herbal and medicinal plants, traditional food, dairy industries 

Among financed actions

* Main grant
– Complementary support activities (e.g. architectural and engineering design and supervision; product development, marketing assessment, legal support for registration …). Those may be subcontracted

* Low-value grant
– Information sessions for the awarding of the financial support to third parties (low-value grants)
– Financial support to third parties (low-value grants)
– Capacity building activities offered to low-value grants beneficiaries, in particular regarding administrative and financial management of the grant
– Specific training needed other than the one of general interest to be provided by the beneficiary of the main grant
– Physical upgrade and renovation of premises
– Purchase of equipment (computer and printers eligible only for new enterprises)
– Purchase of raw materials
– Design and production of promotion material
