Amorce:

This call for proposals aims to contribute to the implementation of the local tourism development plans for the Governorates of Ajloun and Tafileh, more particularly to support the development of tourism support services.

Priorities and funded actions:

This call for proposals is divided in several grants

Objectives

* Main grant
– To assist the development of tourism support services in the following sub-sectors: accommodation and lodging; catering; handicrafts and souvenirs; organisation of local fair through financial support to support community-based organisations and individual/family private initiatives (20-30 entities in each governorate)

* Low-value grant
– To establish or develop services in the following areas: accommodations (Eco-lodge, bed and breakfast services, campsites); catering (restaurant, home-based food outlets, coffee shops); handicrafts and souvenirs shops; traditional craft professions (e.g. as jewellery, fashion, soaps and leather products, ceramics, mosaics, etc.); tourism festivals, food fairs, handicraft markets

Among financed actions 

* Main grant
– Complementary support activities (e.g. architectural and engineering design and supervision; product development, marketing assessment, legal support for registration …)

* Low-value grant
– Information sessions for the awarding of the financial support to third parties (low-value grants)
– Financial support to third parties (low-value grants)
– Capacity building activities offered to low-value grants beneficiaries, in particular regarding administrative and financial management of the grant
– Complementary support activities (e.g. architectural and engineering design and supervision; product development, marketing assessment, legal support for registration …)
– Specific training needed other than the one of general interest to be provided by the beneficiary of the main grant
– Physical upgrade and renovation of premises
– Equipment (computer and printers eligible only for new service enterprises)
– Design and production of promotion material
– Expenditures required for the organisation of tourism festivals, food fairs, handicraft markets
