This call for proposals aims to support activities that invite to reflection on European cultural diversity and on common values in the broadest sense.
Priorities and funded actions:
– To contribute to citizens’ understanding of the EU, its history and diversity
– To raise awareness of remembrance, common history and values and the aim of the EU
Project shall address one or several of the following priorities:
– Reflect on causes of totalitarian regimes in Europe’s modern history (specially but not exclusively Nazism that led to the Holocaust, Fascism, Stalinism and totalitarian communist regimes) and to commemorate the victims of their crimes.
– Address other defining moments and reference points in recent European history, including the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War I, the 25th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the 10 years of enlargement of the European Union to Central and Eastern Europe
