Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Honduras, by supporting entrepreneurs and developing innovative and commercially promising ideas, technologies and/or solutions that improve the Food and Nutritional Security (FNS) conditions of the vulnerable population of Honduras;
*  To give financial assistance to third parties through the selection of an entity that will design, coordinate, and manage the Incubator services of proposals for innovative productive and technological ventures in FNS

Priorities 
* To support the incubation and application of ideas, innovative technological and productive solutions aimed at solving or mitigating problems that affect Food and Nutritional Security or any of its determinants such as the negative impacts of climate change, the unsustainable use of energy and natural resources;
* To propose a management and administration methodology for an incubator of ideas, technological and productive solutions focused on enterprises that directly contribute to solving or mitigating FNS problems of the Honduran population;
* To promote and organise a contest for innovative entrepreneurship (Start-Ups) in FNS through the mechanism of financial support to third parties, developing an active communication campaign and social networks to maximize the number of applicants to the call;
*  To define management and governance mechanisms for the competition, as well as the criteria for the analysis and evaluation of proposals for incubation

Among financed actions
* Organise and conduct workshops, meetings, and information sessions to promote, disseminate, and launch the contest for innovative entrepreneurship in FNS;
* Elaborate and produce audiovisual material (tutorials, infographics, etc.) for the promotion of the contest; 
* Promote the exchange of experiences, good practices and knowledge transfer to add value to the design of the competition;
* Adaptation and equipment of physical infrastructure for coworking, meeting room, offices, common area for entrepreneurs, basic operational services for working in an adequate environment: technological support, use of internet, access to printing and photocopy of documents, teleconference, security and cleaning, secretarial management and coordination of work agenda, reproduction of material and planning tools;
* Tutoring for the elaboration of the business plan, training by mentors specialised in business management, support for strategic planning, marketing (market research) and commercialisation;
* Accompaniment in the search for innovation; support in the procedures for the technological support necessary to develop prototypes; support in the procedures for access to laboratories and research groups;
* Legal and legal advice / support in the management of intellectual property and registered trademarks and others;
* Constitution and creation of companies or organisations for socio-productive purposes and the transformation of primary goods into innovative goods or services;
* Advice on accounting, tax, financial and commercial strategy or negotiation;
* Post-incubation support: Promotion of incubated cases through networks of contacts and business information, cooperation between companies installed in the incubator to promote and develop synergies

* This call for proposals is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the action: up to 17 months

* Eligibility:
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– The following categories are also eligible: Academic Institution (universities or educational institutions with an innovative focus, incubation/acceleration programs or equivalent); Scientific, innovation, research and applied development centre and body, among others of a similar nature; Non-profit private sector or its regional organizations (sectorial, productive, cooperative and other associations of the social sector of the economy); Regional, national or local public sector operator; International (intergovernmental) organisation; Civil society organisations, including foundations or non-governmental organisations, cooperatives and producer associations

– Applicants must demonstrate experience in:
> Management and administration of incubation/acceleration programmes, incubation services and/or business and/or enterprise acceleration;
> Launching and coordination of calls and/or contests to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and the transformation of entrepreneurs into entrepreneurs

– Lead applicants may act individually or with coapplicants

– Actions must take place in the Republic of Honduras
