Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To ensure the visibility of European satellite navigation activities in Mexico and in the region;
* To analyse satellite navigation initiatives in Mexico and in the region;
* To ensure support to actual and potential users in Mexico and in the region on activities including the development of new GNSS-based applications, products and services by enabling industrial and research cooperation between Latin American and European actors

Priorities
* Priority 1 – Identification of relevant markets and stakeholders;
* Priority 2 – Promotion and awareness raising of European Global Navigation Satellite Systems (EGNSS) programs;
* Priority 3 – Facilitation of the development of GNSS-related applications;
* Priority 4 – Education and training on GNSS-related issues;
* Priority 5 – Facilitation of joint industrial collaborations between Latin American and European partners

Among financed actions
* Priority 1:
– Monitoring the GNSS market and local GNSS initiatives in Mexico and the region;
– Mapping the key GNSS players and stakeholders from Mexico, the region and the European Union at different levels (e.g. research institutes, public institutions, private sectors);
– Elaboration of a contact database to feed the centers’ activities
* Priority 2:
– Elaboration and deployment of a communication strategy for Mexico and the region, to promote and inform on the results and milestones of the European GNSS programmes and related applications;
– Elaboration and dissemination of a set of documents to increase awareness on European Union GNSS programmes among relevant actors in Mexico and in the region, i.e. decision makers, investors, institutions, regulators, industries, service and data providers and final users;
– Set-up and maintenance of a website in both English and Spanish for the duration of the project;
– Organisation of information sessions on the European Union’s Horizon 2020 / Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme presenting opportunities to Latin American organisations for co-operations in the GNSS sector;
– Participation in GNSS conferences and trade exhibitions;
* Priority 3: 
– Provision of ideas for new GNSS applications and services to industrial partners;
– Development of new GNSS applications leveraging Galileo differentiators in the identified markets of interest via cooperation with relevant users, European and local industries and the academic spheres;
– Deployment of new GNSS applications based on Galileo
* Priority 4:
– Support to the cooperation between European and Universities from Mexico and the region providing high-level courses in GNSS (PhD level);
– In collaboration with local universities and technology institutes, support to the provision of courses and organisation of training seminars in the field of GNSS technology and applications;
* Priority 5:
– Organisation of matchmaking events for industry representatives from the European Union and from Mexico and the region;
– Fostering closer contacts between entities involved in GNSS-related Research & Development (R&D);
– Facilitation of several high-level meetings and EC/GSA outreach to regional institutions – especially in those countries where the EC is not in contact with local institutions;
– Interface with the European External Action Service (EEAS);
– Interface with the chambers of commerce

* Initial duration of the action: 36 months

* Eligibility
– Be: Non-profit organisation, private or public; Public authorities or agencies (national, regional, local); International organisations; Universities; Educational institutions; Research centres; Profit making entities; Any other relevant institution or organisation
– Be establish in:
> EU countries;
> EFTA and EEA countries: Switzerland, Norway;
> Other countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela.
–  A proposal must be submitted by a consortium composed of at least two legal entities. At least one entity shall be established in a EU Member State and at least one entity shall be located in United Mexican States, Central American countries and Caribbean countries
