This call for proposals aims to developp energy efficiency of the buildings.

Priorities and funded actions:

This call is divided into 4 topics

*TOPIC 1: Innovative design tools for refurbishing of buildings at district level (4 000 000 – 7 000 000 euro per project)

Objective
– The development of sustainable solutions for refurbishment of buildings concerning construction methods and management practices, including socio-economic aspects and innovative financing instruments

Among financed actions
– Innovation actions
– Optimised design of integrated energy-efficient buildings

*TOPIC 2: Integrated solutions of thermal energy storage for building applications (3 000 000 – 6 000 000 euro per project)

Objective
– To reduce thermal losses, reduce pressure drops, and improve heat exchange in and between storage material and heat carrier.

Among financed actions
– Research and innovation
– Demonstrate solutions that have a stable long term performance in multi-cyclic seasonal

*TOPIC 3: New tools and methodologies to reduce the gap between predicted and actual energy performances at the level of buildings and blocks of buildings (4 000 000 – 7 000 000 euro per project)

Objective
– Developing methodologies and tools to monitor energy performance

Pritority
– Developing synergies, including possibilities for funding, with relevant national / regional research and innovation programmes and/or cumulative funding with European Structural and Investment Funds in connection with smart specialisation strategies

* TOPIC 4:  Integrated approach to retrofitting of residential buildings (4 000 000 – 7 000 000 euro per project)

Objective
– Demonstrate breakthrough solutions which combine affordability along the whole life cycle, reduced maintenance and higher performance reliability with reduced energy use

– Combination of renewable energy sources at building level
– Exploitation of heat recovery for water and air as well as ICT
