This call for proposals aims to promote low-carbon growth.

Priorities and funded actions:

This call for proposals is divided in 3 topics

* Topic 1 Improving the air quality and reducing the carbon footprint of European cities
Objectives: To consider both environmental and climate considerations when designing emission abatement strategies

Among financed actions: 
– Development of technological options and strategies to fight against air pollution in urban environments and against climate change
– Awareness-raising actions and policy support activities

* Topic 2 More effective ecosystem restoration in the EU
Objectives: To promote effective and sustainable restoration activities across the EU

Among financed actions:
– Contribution to the objectives of the EU 2020 Biodiversity Strategy

* Topic 3 Demonstrating the concept of ‘Citizen Observatories’
Objectives: Scale up, demonstrate, deploy, test in its entirity and validate in real-life conditions the system proposed for Citizen Observatories 

Among financed actions:
– To transfer of environmental knowledge 
– To include a strong involvement of citizens and citizens’ associations together with the industrial sector, in particular SMEs, as far as possible
