This call for proposals aims to develop smart cities and communities.

Priorities and funded actions:

This call for proposals is divided in 2 topics

* Topic 1 Smart Cities and Communities solutions integrating energy, transport, ICT sectors through lighthouse (large scale demonstration – first of the kind) projects – up to 25 000 000 euro per project
Objective: To significantly increase the overall energy efficiency of cities, to exploit better the local resource both in terms of energy supply as well as through the demand side measures

Among financed actions
– To identify, develop and deploy replicable, balanced and integrated solutions in the energy, transport, and ICT actions through partnerships between municipalities and industries

* Topic 2 Development of system standards for smart cities and communities solutions – between  500 000 and 1 000 000 euro per project

Objective: To ensure the front run position for European smart cities solutions, at forefront worldwide

– To ensure interoperability of solutions
