Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To strengthen good neighbourly relations and foster environmentally friendly and social inclusive economic development of the bordering regions, through the promotion of their touristic potential and respect of its common cultural and natural heritage

Priorities
* To protect the environment, promoting climate change adaptation and mitigation, preventing and managing risk;
* Lot 1: Development of green economy and circular economy, supporting economic activities that reduce; environmental risks and ecological scarcities, and that aims for sustainable development without degrading the environment;
* Lot 2: Tackling water pollution and promoting climate change adaptation related to water basins

Among financed actions
* To protect and enhance biodiversity in rivers, lakes and other water landscapes;
* To protect and enhance biodiversity on land;
* To reduce surface water pollution through integrated solid and liquid waste management in water ecosystems;
* To implement composting of bio-waste and reuse of it in agriculture;
* To implement recycling and reuse of non-organic waste;
* To support and promote the so-called “water and green corridors” in the cross-border area;
* To support forestation with native species as well as integrated landscape management;
* To support restoration, protection and efficient management of natural protected areas;
* To encourage environmentally friendly economic actions through partnership and networking actions between local and regional authorities and private and CSO sector from both sides of the border;
* To set up small scale environmental infrastructure interventions and procurement of equipment;
* To carry out cross-border mapping and integrated environmental monitoring systems;
* To set up small-scale interventions or investments to foster renewable energy (with the exception of hydro-power-related activities);
* To set up small scale infrastructures or investments to foster sustainable tourism

Additionnal information 
* This call for proposals is an open call for proposals

* Initial duration of the action: between 18 and 36 months

* Eligibility:
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be established in either Albania or Kosovo;
– Be a specific type of organisation such as non-governmental organisation, public sector operator, local authority, inter-governmental organisation
– Be: Civil society organisations, Central, regional and local government units (ministries, municipalities, departments, public/ministerial agencies), Local authorities, local governments and their institutions, associations of municipalities, Public bodies acting as service providers, Local tourist organisations, National Parks, Chambers of Commerce and Chambers of Crafts and Trades, Professional associations, famers associations and associations of SMEs, Formal and non-formal education and training institutions (e.g. primary schools, VET schools, Universities, etc.), Cultural institutions (such as museums, libraries, orchestras, etc.), Research, development and innovation (RDI) institutions, Agencies for local or regional development, Public utility companies controlled by government units as their major stakeholder, National and regional centres for disaster management and monitoring, Emergency services, Body governed by private law with a public service mission
– Each application shall include at least one Local/Regional Authority per each Country, meaning one from Albania and one from Kosovo; 

* Actions must take place: 
– Albania: Lezha Region and Kukes Region
– Kosovo: West Economic Region: (Municipality of Peja, Deçan, Gjakovë, Istog, Klinë, and Junik) and South Economic Region (Municipality of Prizren, Dragash, Rahovec, Suharekë, Malishevë, and Mamusha)
