Priorities and funded actions:

Objective
* Improve the Roma condition by targeted measures aiming at decreasing the gap in the quality of housing and in access to social and health care services, between the communities inhabited by Roma and the other communities or territorial units

Priorities
* Improve housing conditions of deprived Roma living in poor and/or informal settlements in municipalities through holistic and participatory approaches;
* Increase and improved access of Roma living poor and/or informal settlements to socio-educational services and health care services for Roma persons   

Among financed actions
* Activities for strengthening the local administrative and technical capacities for implementation of effective urban planning, thus safeguarding the equal access to adequate housing and urban development for all citizens (such as information sessions, round-tables, a panel of experts etc); 
* Activities related to conceptualizing and designing or updating of the urban plans;
* Legal assistance and counselling services provided to Roma communities and individuals in support of legalization the land and housing properties; 
* Information sessions in legalization related topics delivered to Roma persons and other persons, in the targeted settlements;
* Support for small-scale infrastructure works at Municipality and/or settlement’s level aiming at better access to public utilities (following the urban planning and legalization processes and based on comprehensive documentation prepared);
* Thorough assessment of housing related needs in terms of renovation works, utilities, small and large infrastructure at the level of Roma settlements, based on the priority areas identified

Additional information
* This is a restricted call for proposals. In the first instance, only concept notes will be evaluated

* Initial duration of the project: between 26 and 36 months

* Eligibility
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be: a NGO, a public sector operator, a local authority, an international (inter-governmental) organisation;
– Be established for at least 2 years before the launch of the call, in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia or in a Member State of the European Union or country covered by Article 10 of the Regulation 236/2014;

– The applicant must act with at least one co-applicant and a maximum of two co-applicants;

– Actions must take place in one or more of the administrative units (Municipalities) of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, where Roma poor and informal settlements are located, and preferably targeted with the ROMACTED project: Gostivar, Prilep, Bitola, Kocani, Berovo, Suto Orizari, Veles
