Priorities and funded actions:

Objectives
* To strengthen participatory democracies and the EU integration process in the Western Balkans and Turkey by empowering civil society to actively take part in decision making and by stimulating an enabling legal and financial environment for civil society and pluralistic media;
* To provide support to the functioning of civil society organisations to implement their core activities against an agreed work programme in a number of pre-defined sectors/priorities for monitoring central and local government policies

Priorities
* Anti-discrimination (LGBTI, disabilities, minorities, etc.);
* Environment & Climate change (air pollution, solid waste management, energy efficiency & renewable resources, spatial planning, wild construction, etc.);
* Justice and rule of law (respect of rule of law, protection of personal data, access to justice and free legal aid, court monitoring, investigations, inspectorates, etc.);
* Anti-corruption (follow up of cases by whistle-blowers and SCPC), public procurement, transparency, effective oversight and remedy;
* Quality in Education (formal and non-formal) and Inclusiveness;
* Public administration reform, recruitment and services to citizens;
* Gender Equality and women rights;
* Consumer Rights, Health, Safety at work and Occupational Right, and Patients’ Rights;
* Fight against organised crime, Cyber security, etc.;
* Counter-Violent Extremism (CVE) and anti-radicalization;
* EU integration and youth

Among financed actions
* Activities for strengthening of existing and creating new civil society platforms, networks and coalitions, including systems for information sharing and transfer of know-how mechanisms; 
* Capacity building for sector lobbing with particular attention to wider outreach of CSOs, including small and grass-rooting CSOs; provision of sector/policy related reports, studies, needs assessments and researches;
* Legislation review and drafting of policy recommendations;
* Preparation and delivery of action plans – Joint activities with public institutions;
* Facilitating dialogue, consultation and discussion between civil society and other different stakeholders, involving decision makers, political actors, business community, etc.
* Awareness raising events, advocacy campaigns, public communication activities

Additional information
* This call for proposals is an open call for proposals

* Initial duration of the actions: 12 months

* Eligibility:
– Be a legal person;
– Be non-profit-making;
– Be a non-governmental organisation;
– Be established in the Republic of North Macedonia at least 2 years before this call is launched;
– Be a body pursuing an aim of general Union interest, that is an entity representing non-profit bodies active in North Macedonia and promoting principles and policies consistent with the objectives of the Treaties;
– Be a body having an objective forming part of, and supporting, a Union policy

– The lead applicant may act only individually

– Actions must take place in the Republic of North Macedonia
