Priorities and funded actions:

Objective
– Improving civil protection capacities for emergency prevention, preparedness and response to natural and man-made disasters observing the best European practices

Priorities
– Civil protection authorities as well as intervention and rescue teams to be capable to effectively respond together in the event of major disaster in Bosnia and Herzegovina;
– Disaster Risk Reduction approach through integrated risk assessment and preparedness planning established in the entire civil protection sector 

Among financed actions
– Developing guidelines, standard operating procedures and call tree plans on preparedness for and response to natural and man-made disasters
– Supporting the harmonisation of existing civil protection legislation with the EU acquis
– Facilitating the cooperation of all civil protection actors in BiH for achieving increased coordination, interoperability and effective responsiveness
