This call for proposals aims to improve air quality by supporting the implementation of the air quality related legislation including Directive 2008/50/EC on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe and Directive 2004/107/EC relating to arsenic, cadmium, mercury, nickel and polycyclic hydrocarbons in ambient air.
Priorities and funded actions:
– To strengthen the administrative capacities in the area of air quality management and health impact of air pollution by implementing the appropriate EU acquis
– Support of the implementation of emission related legislation including, for example, Directive 2001/81/EC on national emission ceilings for certain atmospheric pollutants and Directive 2001/80/EC on the limitation of emissions of certain pollutants into the air from large combustion plants
